  7. Do you prefer busy weekends or quiet ones?

  8. Have your weekend activities changed compared to when you were a child?

  9. Do you think people should work on weekends? Why or why not?

1. How do you usually spend your weekends?

Answer:
I usually try to strike a balance between productivity and relaxation. In the mornings, I like to catch up on tasks I’ve pushed aside during the week, like organizing my space or doing some meal prep. But once that’s out of the way, I spend the rest of the weekend unwinding—either meeting friends for coffee or just curling up with a good series. It’s my way of hitting the reset button before Monday rolls around.

✨ Advanced / Native Phrases:

  • strike a balance between productivity and relaxation

  • catch up on tasks I’ve pushed aside

  • curling up with a good series

  • hit the reset button

2. Do you think weekends are long enough?

Answer:
Not really. I often feel like two days barely scratch the surface in terms of resting and recharging. By the time I’ve finished running errands and catching up on sleep, the weekend is practically over. I wish we had a three-day weekend—it would make a world of difference to people’s mental health and overall well-being.

✨ Advanced / Native Phrases:

  • barely scratch the surface

  • running errands

  • make a world of difference

  • overall well-being

3. Do you like to plan your weekends in advance?

Answer:
To be honest, I prefer keeping things flexible. I might have a rough idea of what I want to do, but I don’t like locking myself into a strict schedule. Weekends are the only time I can be spontaneous, so I’d rather go with the flow and see where the day takes me.

✨ Advanced / Native Phrases:

  • keeping things flexible

  • a rough idea

  • locking myself into a strict schedule

  • go with the flow

  • see where the day takes me

4. Do you prefer busy weekends or quiet ones?

Answer:
It really depends on how exhausting my week has been. If I’ve had a hectic schedule, I definitely lean toward a quiet weekend where I can recharge my batteries. But if the week was fairly manageable, I love having a packed weekend—seeing friends, trying new restaurants, or going on short day trips. Variety keeps me energized.

✨ Advanced / Native Phrases:

  • lean toward a quiet weekend

  • recharge my batteries

  • a packed weekend

  • day trips

  • variety keeps me energized
